Founded in 1991 by Peter and Helen Gilroy, Gilroy's Automatics has grown into a trusted name as automatic transmission specialists. Peter, an "A" Grade mechanic, honed his expertise at Young's Automatics under the mentorship of Ray Young, specializing in automatic transmissions. When Ray retired, Peter and Helen seized the opportunity to establish Gilroy's Automatics, dedicated to servicing, diagnostics, repairing, and rebuilding standard, high-performance, and classic automatic transmissions. 

Peter and Helen Gilroy have witnessed firsthand the evolution of the automatic transmission industry over the years. Since founding Gilroy's Automatics, they have seen numerous advancements and changes that have shaped the way automatic transmissions are serviced and maintained. From technological innovations to improvements in diagnostic tools and techniques, Peter and Helen have adapted their business to stay at the forefront of these developments. Over the years, Gilroy's Automatics has contributed to the training of over 8 apprentices and providing employment to more than 35 dedicated staff members.
